Custom Frame

When measuring the frame in inches for a custom frame, size with a ruler or measuring tape. Measure the exact size length and width of the item to be framed (i.e. 8 ¾” x 10 ⅝” exact). We will make the frame to that size plus ⅛” allowance to enable ease of assembly.

Ordering a Floater Frame

Step 1:
Measure stretched canvas for thickness to choose the right depth of the floater frame.

Step 2:
The frame will be made the exact size of the stretched canvas. We suggest adding ¼” all around. Example: For Canvas sized 8” x 10” add ¼” to each side of the canvas. 8 ½” x 10 ½” to be ordered.

Step 3:
The frame will be predrilled on the back with screws attached. The screws will protrude ⅛” approximately into the frame. Centre the canvas and push down onto the screws. This should hold the canvas until you finish screwing into the canvas stretcher bar from the back of the floater frame. Do not overtighten the screws.
